- Galkynys - Turkmen-language weekly, mouthpiece of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan
- Neytralnyy Turkmenistan - Russian-language, published 6 times a week
- Turkmen Dunyasi - Turkmen-language monthly, mouthpiece of the Ashgabat-based World Turkmens Association
- Turkmenistan - Turkmen-language, published 6 times a week
- Watan - Turkmen-language, published 3 times a week
The state also owns a television network (Turkmen TV), which operates four channels, and a radio network (Turkmen Radio), which operates two stations. Programmes from Russian TV stations are censored before being rebroadcast.
