Tunisia has been the location for a number of films over the last few years, including:

• The Monty Python movie "Life of Brian".
• Portions of "The English Patient".
• Desert scenes in "Raiders of the Lost Ark".
• Four of the Star Wars films (Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope) were partly filmed in Tataouine, in the Tunisian Sahara. In the films, these scenes took place on the planet Tatooine.
