Televisheni ya Taifa (TVT) is Tanzania's state-run television network, which has yet to achieve complete national coverage. TV Zanzibar is the state-run service on the islands. The are also a number of private networks, such as Coastal Television Network (CTN), Dar es Salaam Television (DTV), Independent Television (ITV) and Star TV.

Tanzania's state-run radio networks are Radio Tanzania Dar es Salaam (RTD) and Parapanda Radio Tanzania (PRT), with Voice of Tanzania-Zanzibar being the state-run radio on Zanzibar.
