Traditional ways of life in Swaziland remain strong, and local culture in the form of religious music, dance, poetry and craftsmanship plays an integral part in daily life.

If you are planning to camp near villages it is important to first inform the headman - not only is it courteous, but he may also be able to help with customs, or act as an interpreter.

It is prohibited to photograph the Royal Palace or royal family, the army, or bank buildings.
