The culture of the north of Sudan is predominantly Arabic, whilst the south is dominated by many tribes, each with their own lifestyle and belief.

As Sudan is largely Muslim, women should not dress in revealing clothing.

In the main cities, a curfew is in operation between midnight and 4am.
