Getting There & Getting About

International Airports

Internal Transport

There are local and charter air services available for inter-island travel; yachts may also be chartered (or hired with or without crew) and are possibly one if the best ways to explore the Grenadines. There is a regular ferry service from St Vincent to Bequia (60 minute journey), and the other islands are served regularly by a mailboat.

Cars may be hired through a number of national and international firms (see Bureaucracy for driving licence requirements).

Public transport is cheap but crowded. Regular bus services run throughout St Vincent, and small minibuses run a shared route-taxi service with a standard fare (fixed by the Government) anywhere along the route. Taxi drivers do not expect tips.
