The islanders' way of life is relatively untouched by the outside world and they maintain the traditions of calypso dancing and music. However, visitors are warmly welcomed.

Dress is informal, though beachwear is not appropriate for towns, shops or restaurants. A lightweight suit and tie are recommended for more formal occasions.
