Local Media
There are nearly 20 daily newspapers, and foreign publications circulate freely. All national papers are French-language, and include:
- L'Observateur
- Le Quotidien
- Le Soleil (state-owned)
- Sud Quotidien
- Wal Fadjri L'Aurore
The state-run national television broadcaster Radiodiffusion Television Senegalaise (RTS) operates RTS1 and RTS2 channels, and multichannel pay-TV is also readily available.
BBC World Service and Radio France Internationale are available on FM in Dakar. RTS operates a number of radio stations, including the capital's Dakar FM, Chaine Nationale and Chaine Internationale networks and several regional services. There are also private radio stations available, such as:

- Radio Future Medias (RFM)
- Radio Nostalgie
- Sept FM
- Sud FM
- Walf FM
