Local Media

Arab News, Saudi Gazette, and Riyadh Daily are the main English dailies. Local-language papers include Al-Riyadh, Al-Watan (Abha-based), Al-Jazirah (Riyadh-based), Okaz (Jeddah-based) and Al-Sharq al-Awsat (Riyadh-based).

The state-run Broadcasting Service of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (BSKSA) is responsible for all broadcasting, including the television service Saudi TV, which operates four networks, and Saudi Radio. Private television and radio stations cannot operate from Saudi Arabia, but the country is a key market for pan-Arab pay-TV and satellite broadcasters.
