June to September are warm. Mid-December to April see snow in the south.

Festivals

Poland has a continental climate, with warm summers, crisp, sunny autumns and severe winters and. Rain falls chiefly in summer and seldom exceeds 65 cm annually. Mid-December to April see snow in the mountainous area in the south.

Visitors are advised to bring light- to mediumweight clothing during spring, summer and autium, with heavier clothing needed for winter. Waterproofs are advisable all year.

Festivals

Warsaw hosts a number of music festivals in June and July including the Warsaw Summer Jazz Days, the Mozart Festival, and the Warsaw Autumn Festival of Contemporary Music held in September. Krakow hosts the Summer Jazz Festival in July, and a Corpus Christi Pageant in May or June. Wroclaw stages the Castle Party in July or August as a celebration of dark, independent music.
