Local Media

There are many English-language papers in Nepal, including The Kathmandu Post, The Rising Nepal, The Commoner Daily News, The Himalayan Times, The International Herald Tribune and the weekly Nepali Times. Nepali language papers include Kantipur, Gorkhapatra and Annapurna Post.

Nepal Television Corporation (NTV) is the state-run TV service, which operates NTV and NTV Metro channels. Other TV operators include Kantipur TV, Channel Nepal and Image Channel TV.

State-run Radio Nepal operates national and regional services, with other radio stations including HBC 94 FM (operated by Himalayan Broadcasting Company), Hits FM, Radio Sagarmatha, Image FM and Kantipur FM. BBC World Service is available on FM in Kathmandu.
