Climate

The Namibian climate ranges from desert to subtropical, and is generally hot and dry, with sparse and erratic precipitation. Everywhere in Namibia enjoys a minimum of 300 days of sunshine a year, and temperatures range from 7-30°C (45-86°F) with an average of 14-24°C (57-75°F). Although the country is pleasant to visit all year round, the nights can get a bit cold during the winter and at high altitudes.

The majority of rain falls in the interior between November and April (approximately 3-7 cm a month in Windhoek). The cold, north-flowing Benguela current keeps the coast cool and free from rain.
