Local Media

There are no newspapers in English, though some can be found in Chisinau's major hotels occasionally. Western press deliveries are erratic. Local-language papers include:

Kommersant Moldoviy (Russian-language)
Komsomolskaya Pravda (Russian-language)
Nezavisimaya Moldova (Russian-language)
Timpul (Moldovan-language)

There are some 30 TV stations and more than 20 radio stations on the air, many of them re-broadcasting stations from Russia and Romania. The state-run Teleradio-Moldova operates the TV channel Moldova One and the radio station Radio Moldova. Commercial stations include Pro TV Chisinau and Radio Nova.
