Local Media

Although there are no newspapers available in English, there are some 40 privately-owned newspapers and a state-owned paper that publishes in French, including:

• L'Aurore (national)
• Les Echos (Bamako)
• L'Essor (state-owned national)
• L'Independent
• Info Matin (Bamako)
• Le Republicain (national)
• Le Segovien (Segou)

Office de la Radiodiffusion Television du Mali (ORTM) broadcasts TV programmes in French and local vernacular languages, and other multichannel operators are also available, such as Multi Canal and Tele-Kledu.

ORTM also provides a public network of national and regional radio stations. Over 50 other radio stations exist in Mali, including:
