There are no newspapers available in English; however, other papers include:

• L'Express
• Feon'ny Merina (Voice of the Merina) - weekly for Merina people of Malay origin
• La Gazette de la Grande Ile

• Lakroa (Cross) - Roman Catholic weekly

Although nationwide TV and radio broadcasting remain the monopoly of the state (Television Malagasy (TVM) and Malagasy National Radio (RNM) respectively), there are many private local radio and TV stations. These include:
