Hand-shaking is the common form of greeting.

Suits and ties are common for men to wear to meetings; skirt, blouse and tights are commonplace for women. Often, English, French or German will be spoken in business circles.

It is worth being prepared for things going very slowly or not at all, owing to the local bureaucracy.

You should not take photographs of, or near, military or official installations.
