Travel to Liberia is not advisable, unless absolutely essential. Anyone doing so should ensure that they are supported by a reliable organisation with a comprehensive and adequate security plan. Visitors shoud also monitor the security situation (e.g. on UNMIL radio, 91.5FM). It is not advisable to spend the night outside Monrovia. Visitors should avoid travelling alone, particularly at night and to secluded places.
