Local Media

The Baltic Times is printed weekly in English. Local-language papers include Diena, Neatkariga Rita Avize (NRA), Latvijas Avize and Vakara Avize Vakara Zinas. There are also a number of Russian-language papers, such as Telegraf, Chas, Biznes & Baltiya (business broadsheet), and Vesti Segodnya.

The public broadcaster, Latvian Television (LTV), operates LTV1 and LTV7, whilst the main terrestrial commercial channel is provided by Latvian Independent Television (LNT). Other commercial operators include TV3 Latvia and TV5.

The public broadcaster, Latvian Radio, operates four national networks. There are also a number of commercial radio stations, such as Easy FM, Radio Skonto and Radio SWH.
