Local Media

All newspapers in Laos are published by the government, including two foreign language papers: the English-language Vientiane Times and the French-language Le Rénovateur. Lao language papers include Vientiane Mai.

Television is provided by the state run Lao National TV (TVNL) and Laos Television 3, which is a joint venture with a Thai company. However, satellite television dishes, beaming content from Thailand, are common throughout Laos and many Laotians access the outside world through Thai television programs.

The state also runs a radio station: Lao National Radio.
