Local Media

The Bishkek Observer, Kyrgyzstan Chronicle and Times of Central Asia are printed weekly in English. Other newspapers published in Kyrgyzstan include the government-owned Slovo Kyrgyzstana (published three times a week), Vecherniy Bishkek, MSN, ResPublica and Litsa, along with the weekly Delo No, Liberalnaya Gazeta, Obshchestvennyy Reyting and RIF Obozreniye.

The state operates two television networks through the Kyrgyz National TV and Radio Broadcasting Corporation. Private television networks include Piramida, Ecological Youth TV (EYTV), Kyrgyz Public Educational TV (KOORT), Independent Bishkek TV, Osh TV and NTS.

In addition to the two radio networks run by the Kyrgyz National TV and Radio Broadcasting Corporation, there are a number of other stations, such as Europa Plus, Almaz and Ekho Bishkeka.
