Local Media
The main English-language daily is the As-Sabah and Al-Zaman (a London-based daily, printed in Baghdad and Basra) also has English pages. Other newspapers in Iraq include Al-Dustur, Al-Mada, Al-Manarah and Al-Mashriq.
The state operates a public TV network, known as Al-Iraqiya, and there is also a private network, Al-Sharqiya, which broadcasts terrestrially and via satellite. There are two channels operated from the autonomous northern enclave: KurdSat (operated by Patriotic Union of Kurdistan - PUK) and Kurdistan Satellite Channel (operated by Kurdistan Democratic Party - KDP).
The Republic of Iraq Radio is the national public radio station, and the country is served by many other stations, such as Radio Basra, Voice of Iraq (Baghdad mediumwave (AM) station), Radio Dijla (Baghdad FM talk and music station) and Hot FM (Baghdad FM music station).
