Local Media

The Budapest Times, Budapest Week, The Budapest Sun, The Hungarian Observer, The Hungarian Economy are all published in English. Local-language papers include Magyar Hirlap, Magyar Nemzet, Nepszabadsag and Nepszava.

There are two public television stations: Magyar Televizio (MTV), which operates 2 channels, and Duna TV, a satellite channel aimed at Hungarian minorities in neighbouring states. There are also a number of private broadcasters, including Hir TV (News TV), RTL Klub and TV2.

The public radio broadcaster, Hungarian Radio operates Petofi, Kossuth and Bartok networks and external service Radio Budapest. Many private radio stations also exist, such as Danubius Radio, InfoRadio, Juventus Radio and Slager Radio.
