Local papers are published in English and include The Guyana Chronicle (government-owned), Stabroek News, The Mirror (twice a week), Kaieteur News (weekly) and The Sunday Chronicle.

The government owned National Communications Network (NCN) operates a TV channel - NCN TV (Channel 11) - and radio services such as Voice of Guyana, Hot FM and Radio Roraima.
