Weather
Grenada has a subtropical climate, with an average annual temperature of 28°C. The rainy season runs from June to December, with an annual rainfall on the coast of 127 cm, rising to 500 cm in the interior.
Visitors are advised to bring tropical lightweights and cool summer clothing.

Festivals
Like many Caribbean islands, Carnival is one of the biggest festivals in the Grenadian calendar. It takes place in August and includes calypso and steel band competitions and features revellers in bright costumes. Carriacou Island holds its Carnival in February, and also hosts the Carriacou Regatta sailing event in July or August.
