Food & Drink
Gibraltar's geographical location and its history as a British colony means that it can offer a large selection of British dishes as well as Spanish, Moroccan, Italian, French, American, Chinese and Indian cuisine. National specialities include panissa and calentita (like quiche, but made from chick pea flour) and spinach tortilla.
There are bars and bistros at the two marinas and throughout the town, operating under Mediterranean licensing hours. Restaurants cover the whole price range.
All types of alcoholic drinks are served, including draught beer. Spirits are substantially cheaper than in the UK for identical brands.
