Regions

Ghana is divided into 10 regions, which are further subdivided into a total of 138 districts. The regions are as follows (capitals in brackets):

• Ashanti (Kumasi)
• Brong-Ahafo (Sunyani)
• Central (Cape Coast)
• Eastern (Koforidua)
• Greater Accra (Accra)
• Northern (Tamale)
• Upper East (Bolgatanga)
• Upper West (Wa)
• Volta (Ho)
• Western (Sekondi-Takoradi)
