Local Media

The Georgian Times, Georgia Today and Georgian Messenger are all published in English. Local-language papers in Georgia include 24 Saati (24 Hours), Rezonansi (Resonance), Sakartvelos Respublika (Republic of Georgia), Svobodnaya Gruzia (Free Georgia), the thrice-weekly Akhali Versia (New Version) and Alia (Repatriation), and the weekly Kvilis Palitra.

The public broadcaster Georgian Public TV and Georgian Public Radio operates two networks on each medium. There are a number of private television broadcasters, including the major networks Imedi TV, Mze TV and Rustavi-2. There are also many commercial radio staions, such as Fortuna (music based), Radio Imeda (news and speech network) and Mtsvane Talgha (Green Wave) - a national network linked to non-governmental organisations.
