Local Media

Although there are no English-language newspapers, there is one government daily (L'Union ) and a number of private weeklies, many controlled by opposition parties. These include:

Gabon's national state broadcaster (Radiodiffusion-Television Gabonaise) operates two TV stations, a French-language radio network and a network of provincial stations. Other television broadcasters include TeleAfrica (a private company) and TV Sat, a pay-TV operator. Africa No1 is a pan-African broadcaster based in Gabon, using shortwave and FM relays in a number of cities.
