Travel to the border areas of Tigray and Afar is not advisable, as they remain predominantly military zones. Travel is also not advisable to:

• the Gambella Region
• the Afar and Danakil regions
• the area east of the Harar to Gode line
• the Ethiopia/Somalia border (by road)

Caution is also advised if travelling in the Kenya/Ethiopia border region.
