Newspapers available in Egypt include:
- Al-Ahram - state-owned daily, the oldest newspaper in the Arab world

Egypt Radio Television Union (ERTU) is the state-run TV service, which operates domestic and satellite networks, including Nile TV International. There is also a privately-owned satellite network known as Dream TV that operates Dream 1 (targeting young viewers) and Dream 2 (an entertainment channel).
The state-run ERTU also operates eight national radio networks and the external services Radio Cairo and Voice of the Arabs. Other radio stations include Nile FM, a privately-owned station that plays Western pop, and Nogoum FM, another private station, this time playing Arabic pop.
