Local Media

The Economist and Quito News are published irregularly in English, whilst other international papers and magazines are available at main post offices and some bookshops. Spanish language daily papers include El Comercio, El Tiempo, Hoy, El Telegrafo and La Hora (with regional editions).

TC Television is the national TV network, with other commercial stations including Gamavision, ETV Telerama, Ecuavisa and Teleamazonas. The government runs Radio Nacional del Ecuador and there is also a national mediumwave (AM) news and information network called Radio Sucre. Other radio stations include Cadena Radial Ecuatoriana (CRE) and Radio Centro.
