Local Media

The Timor Post (daily) and Tau Timor (fortnightly) are both published in English. Local language newspapers include Suara Timor Lorosae (daily) and Jornal Nacional Semanario (weekly).

There is one state-controlled, TV channel: Televisao de Timor Leste (TVTL). The state also runs a radio service, Radio Nacional de Timor Leste (RTL), and other stations are available, such as Radio Timor Kmanek -RTK (a Catholic Church radio) and Radio Falintil/Voz da Esperanca - a community station that began life as a clandestine station operated by East Timor rebels. BBC World Service programmes in English and Portuguese are available in Dili.
