Local Media

The Prague Post and the Prague Wochenblatt are both weekly English papers. Local language papers include Blesk, Lidove Noviny, Mlada Fronta Dnes and Pravo.

Public broadcaster Czech TV (Ceska Televize or CT) operates two TV networks (CT1 and CT2) and a 24-hour news channel (CT 24). Two major private TV channels (TV Nova and Prima) broadcast nationally.

Public radio (Czech Radio - Cesky Rozhlas CRo), operates three national networks, local services and an external service (Radio Prague), which includes programmes in a number of languages including English. There are also many private radio stations, such as Frekvence 1, Evropa 2 and Radio Impuls. BBC World Service is available on FM in many cities and towns.
