Local Media

There are no English-language newspapers, but a host of Spanish-language papers, including El Tiempo (Liberal Party), El Nuevo Siglo (Conservative Party), El Colombiano, El Espacio and the weekly El Espectador.

Senal Colombia is the state-run television network, with others including Telecaribe, RCN TV, Cadena Uno and Caracol TV.

There are hundreds of radio stations registered with the Ministry of Communications, including the state-run Radio Nacional de Colombia. Among the other main networks are Caracol, which runs several networks, including its flagship station Caracol Colombia; and Radio Cadena Nacional (RCN Radio), which is a mediumwave (AM) network with a number of affiliates.
