Food & Drink

Generally speaking, food and drink is very basic. Street food in towns is simple, burgers and brochettes (meat on a skewer). Restaurants serve French and other cuisines but otherwise travellers must call at local villages to barter for provisions. Away from Muslim areas are numerous beer halls, with a high standard product. Two popular drinks are palm wine and banana wine.
