Local Media

Newspapers are published in English. However, there are no daily papers; the major weeklies include Belize Times (subsidised by the People's United Party), Government Gazette, The Reporter and Amandala, whilst The Guardian (United Democratic Party-affiliated) is the major monthly paper.

Commercial television is offered by Channel 5, Channel 7 and Channel 9, and cable TV is available in the towns.

Some radio stations are affiliated with political parties, such as Wave Radio (United Democratic Party) and Positive Vibes FM (People's United Party). There are also a range of private commercial stations networked across the country, including Estereo Amor (Spanish Language), Krem FM, Love FM and More FM.
