Local Media

The Baku Sun is Azerbaijan's English-language newspaper, whilst Zerkalo is printed in Russian and English. Other local-language papers include Azarbaycan (government daily), Azadliq, Ekho, Ekspress (weekly), Yeni Azarbaycan (in Azeri) and Yeni Musavat (also in Azeri).

AzTV is the state-run television channel, whilst iTV is a public channel that was launched August 2005. Private TV channels include ANS TV, Azad Azarbaycan (ATV), Lider TV and Space TV.

The state also operates a radio station known as Azerbaijan Radio, and there are many private radio stations, such as ANS ChM (news and music), Radio Azad Azerbaijan, Radio Europa Plus (music) and Radio Lider.
