Getting There & Getting About

International Airports

Internal Transport

There are light aircraft and boats linking the islands; flights between Antigua to Barbuda take around 20 minutes, whilst boats may take up to 3 hours. However, there is also an express ferry available that takes only 90 minutes.

Most of the roads are all weather and car hire is easy to organise on arrival. Mopeds and bicycles may also be hired. The national speed limit is 65 kph (40 mph) and there is a limit of 32 kph (20 mph) in built-up areas. Driving is on the left. Few streets are lit at night and some roads lack road markings.

Local buses are infrequent but taxis are available everywhere with standard rates.
