The Principality of Andorra is a small, landlocked country located in the Pyrenees mountains in Southern Europe on the border between France and Spain. One of the oldest states in Europe, it has been under the joint protection of those two countries since 1278.

Once isolated, it is now popular with skiers and snowboarders and offers an excellent European alternative to the French, Italian, Austrian and Swiss ski resorts. It is also something of a tax haven and is being touted by many as being the new Monaco.
