Accommodation: Halls for fair number of first years and third years. House/flat share around zone 2 (check out housing office, Evening Standard and agencies).
Eating: Canteens open late on all campuses; hot meals cheap, snacks not. Off campus, huge variety of London, with hugely varying prices.
Drinking: Cheap union bars at Harrow and West End; pint £1+ on Wednesdays (£1.50+ for Fosters and cocktails). Other cheap places if you look.
Nightlife: Nightclub at Harrow (good bands and DJs); bar ents regularly; big parties in London clubs also Dragon bar with notorious 'Fire it up' Thursday nights. Music includes Spiller, John Kelly, Dream Team, Jazzy B.
Locals: Well, they are Londoners. But London is pretty safe.
Sports: Sports halls and gyms at Harrow and West End. Pavilion, boathouse and pitches at Chiswick.
Travel: Coaches for sports and ents. Tube for day-to-day travel, or bike for the brave.
Financial help: Some funds and a single process to get help. Valid cases given awards in month or two.
Jobs: Comprehensive job lists from careers service; all advertised in union mag.
Best features: Central London location and alternative quiet and calm of the Harrow campus (away from hustle and bustle).
Worst features: Expense of London life.
