Accommodation: First years can be housed in Edinburgh Uni halls (Pollock Halls); private thereafter (look in The Scotsman).

Eating: £2-£3 for meal on campus. Lots of good, reasonable Indian restaurants.

Drinking: Selected £1.25 pints on weekly quiz nights and '12 noon 'til 9pm' in union bar.

Nightlife: Union organises various ents. Weekly comedy club. Occasional local bands and student nights at local clubs.

Locals: Not seen!

Best features: The nightlife.

Worst features: Thursday mornings.
