Accommodation: Accommodation for some. Private housing cheap and sufficient (but under increasing pressure), get college housing list.

Eating: OK for junk food, eg burger joints and pizzas, chip shops; also Chinese and Indian restaurants, excellent sandwich shops. Meal for £1.50 on campus; £5 for pizza and Bud at Deep Pan Pizza.

Drinks: SU bar cheapest (£1 a pint); plenty of pubs.

Nightlife: SU has variety: discos (twice weekly in bar), live bands (every Saturday night), theme nights, hypnotists, comedians, quizzes, etc. Centenary and Scotts night clubs (Wednesdays), Central Station and Liquid (Saturdays). Locals: Friendly.

Sports: Sports centre on site. Good facilities in Wrexham.

Annual living costs: The minimum amount students say you need to live on each year (covering all living expenses but excluding tuition tees) is £4500-£5000.

Financial help: Very good and efficient; access fund and hardship loans.

Jobs: SU jobs in bar, door staff etc; also in library. Locally jobs are not hard to find, bar jobs plentiful. Student job service for part-time jobs. Holiday work often available in student placements.
