APU (Student Life)

Accommodation: 500 rooms in halls; plenty of housing available locally.

Eating: Placcy Cafe, and new bar, Kudos. University refectories and cafes.

Drinking: SU bars the cheapest in town (a few exceptions).

Nightlife: Chelmsford has a vibrant nightlife. Placcy Bar caters to a range of musical tastes, variety of themed nights (some run by the clubs and societies). Number of pubs and clubs have special deals and different music tastes.

Sports: Central Campus sports hall. Minibuses to/from sports facilities in Chelmsford for training.

Travel: Trains to Colchester and London every half hour (more regular in peak times). Bus station next to Central Campus.

Annual living costs: The minimum amount students say you need to live on each year (covering all living expenses but excluding tuition fees) is £5000.

Jobs: SU hires students as eg bar staff, stewards, cafe staff, DJs, marketing.

Financial help: Access to learning fund available.

Best feature: Friendly students.
