Arriving at Your New Home

So the day has finally arrived, and you now have possession of your new home. With any luck, you may find that you have an overlap of time between getting your new house and moving out of your old one. This will give you a good opportunity to prepare the house properly for your arrival, and undertake all those tasks that are easier to do before your furniture and other belongings arrive. At the very least, you should clean your new home thoroughly from top to bottom, but you might also want to tackle any decorating, repairs or improvements that need doing whilst the house is empty.

The day of the move can be a very fraught time, and to make things easier, we've put together a checklist for you to use, to make the day go as smoothly as possible.

There are also a number of things you may need to do after the move itself, from making sure that your house is secure, to inviting your neighbours around for a house warming party!
