Royal Veterinary College (Student Life)

Accommodation: Intercollegiate halls and college-owned flats at Camden; catered and self-catered halls and shared houses at Hawkshead.

Eating: Refectory at both campuses, which are cheap and good. It is London so there is plenty of variety around.

Drinking: ULU bars (£1.50 pint), and lots of bars and pubs in London. Buttery Bar (£1.50 pint) at Hawkshead.

Nightlife: It is the capital city! The SUS organises a packed freshers' week and regular parties through the year. There are also social events with AVS (Association of Veterinary Students).

Sports: Many clubs here, if they aren't at the RVC they will be at ULU!

Financial help: Access fund and hardship funds.

Travel: Part of the course can be done abroad. Annual living costs: The minimum amount students say you need to live on each year (covering all living expenses but excluding tuition fees) is £6000 (in college accommodation), £8000 On private accommodation).

Jobs: Possible in London if you can find the time!

Best features: Lots of like-minded, fun-loving people.

Worst features: Too many like-minded people but plenty of opportunities to meet students from other UL Colleges
